Kenmore elite (Built by Bosch) Dishwasher. Quiet Guard model.

Here's the problem. I replaced the faucet in my kitchen. Prior to disconnecting the lines to the hot and cold faucet handles, I turned off the valves to the faucet and dishwasher. Installed the new faucet, turned the valves back on and the faucet works fine. Turned on Dishwasher but it water never reaches machine. Detergent door opens, timer goes through its sequences. No error codes. Any idea what the problem is?

I am using a dishwasher that was brand new. My Brother in law did some plumbing work, and since he turned the water back on, it no longer fills. I took it from him (now several years later) to try and fix it and water backs up and floods the tray and triggers the float valve. I posted the issue in another thread, but my issues started the same way-water supply turned off, and when turned back on, it no longer filled with water.

Anyone have an idea? I have a feeling it is something simple, so I hesitate to call a repair man....
