unit wasn't working so repairman changed board(WR55X10656) freezer seems ok but refrig. side only gets down to 55-58 deg.

For some reason your damper probably is not opening to allow the freezer fan to blow air into the fridge side. Part 426 on diagram 6 is your damper control. Replacement parts for GE GSS20IEMDWW | AppliancePartsPros.com

repairman didn't read instructions with new board, it called for cutting a wire when used on my model fridg. damper working correct and fridg side stays around 34 degrees.
