Freezer Icemaker has a flap which opens when depressing the tonque to dispense ice. The icermake works fine, but the flap is allowing the outside atmosphere to get in and icing up the icemaker so the it will not dispense easily. Is there some way to reconnect the flapper which is attached but easily moved by hand? It needs to seal the dispensing shoot properly so as not to ice-up.

Thanks

You'll probably have to remove the dispenser cover by gently prying it off and inspect the parts to see if just a spring came off or if the hinge is broken or door warped etc.

Are we talking about the front of the freezer to actually pry off or the inside chute that appears to be "glued" or very tightly snapped sealed? A little worried about prying off the front. Any suggestions how to do that without damaging?

Yes, the front cover just snaps off but do it a little at a time going around and around. Yours may have the tabs on the bottom where you start.

I have the same problem, would you mind telling me what you ended up doing to fix it?
