Just got a used fridge/freezer hotpoint model# ctx21ea the guy I got it from said it worked fine a year ago before sitting in storage. Got it into the basement ,when I plugged it in freezer got cold fridge stayed room temp. Any ideas what my problem could be? thanks

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent between the freezer and fridge.The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's open.
