The motor on our Kenmore front load washer will not start. Found open fuse on speed control board. Sears says to replace board. First of all, why can't just fuse be replaced? Did some checks with volt/ohm tester and according to instructions on wiring diagram the motor resistance ohm'd out ok according to specs. Shortly before washer quit working we noticed that last few wash cycles appeared to be lasting longer than usual. Could the timer or something else been the root of the control board failure? Do not want to invest in new board and have it ruined due to some other underlying problem. How can timer be checked to make sure it is ok?
