our dishwasher seems to run for HOURS (at least 2 hours) also when complete the dishes are still soaking wet (even if left overnight) and there is a white film on most dishes. what should i do?:confused:

Sounds like the heater may be blown.
Also could be a thermostat or the control board but I would check the heater first.

This will then not dry the dishes but also it will not heat the water so the unit adds delays to the cycle.
