Hello, I have a Magic Chef gas range with electronic contoller with sealed burners. The clock assembly is not working. The clock stays at the same time & none of the other buttons function ( oven, timer etc.). They show #4 in diagram 6 (top assembly) clock assembly AP4008554 (reference to your website). Am I correct in assuming that this is the part that is causing the clock & none of the other functions to work? Will complete instructins be included in the part for assembly of the new part & how to dis-assemble the old. In the owners manual it says not to remove the top so as not to mess up the gas lines. HELP!

You are correct, the clock has to be replaced and you found the right part number. You do have to remove the top panel to access the clock. Unscrew all top burners and the screws under the burners holding the top panel to the orifice tubes (#21 on the diagram). Using a putty knife, push in the locking tab on each side on the front of the top panel and lift it up.
