My ice maker in the Kitchenaid double door fridge/freezer will not stop making ice. My instinct is to replace the 2 part ice maker control boards (part # 2255114). Would this diagnosis be correct? Are there any other possibilities that I may be overlooking?

That unit uses the photo sensor to know when it is full. If it just keeps making ice when the bucket in the door is full, you are indeed looking at the control boards.
