This model of dryer has a lousy lint trap and lint often gets through the trap. I have used a vacuum cleaner attachment to get as far as I can see, but I want to clean what's beyond that to the pipe in the back. To do this, I assume you remove the front of the dryer, but I don't see how this is done. Can you please let me know how to thoroughly clean the path? Thanks.

On the GE models on the inside of the door frame there are usually two screws at the top that secure the top of the dryer. If you take out the screws the top will come off. This will expose the two screws that hold the front. Take them off, unhook the door safety swtich being careful to note how the wires go and the front will lift off.

Good luck.
