Hi, A friend recommended this forum because the advice helped them. The great advice helped me when I first experienced a draining issue with my dishwasher. When I first experienced drain issues I followed the instructions in this great post - http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/dishwasher-repair/16487-ge-profile-dishwasher-wont-drain-completely.html - but unfortunately it is not working this time.I checked the sump then performed the reset test after letting the washer fill. The pump activates and water drains initially, but then you can hear a valve or something close and water stops draining. The timing of the valve closure varies from almost immediately to a few seconds. The pump continues to run for a minute or two. I also went in to the service mode to isolate and activate the pump. Again, the pump activates and water drains initially, but then you can hear a valve or something close and water stops draining. The timing of the valve closure varies from almost immediate to a few seconds. The pump continues to run until I deactivate it. I used a shop-vac to remove the standing water. Shy of calling a repairman, I am out of ideas. Any advice, suggestions or recommendations is much appreciated. Thank you.
