 My washer machine overflowed causing water raise to 1 ft high. I think the motor or something got wet. Now, my washer will fill up but will not agitate or spin. I do not hear the motor starting or moving. Could you tell me if I need a new motor? What do I need to change? I also need instructions to replace the part.

You might try to spray the motor windings and connectors with electrical contact cleaner, and let it dry for a few hours.

Then try it and see if it'll run.
