 My washer machine overflowed causing water raise to 1 ft high. I think the motor or something got wet. Now, my washer will fill up but will not agitate or spin. I do not hear the motor starting or moving. Could you tell me if I need a new motor? What do I need to change? I also need instructions to replace the part.

When this happens parts can short out if they are not dry when you tried to start it up again, and the water can also rust out critical connections.

My advice is to replace the machine, even if you fix it it may not stay fixed.
