Noticed freezer not cooling have thermometer in door45 degrees,back of freezer is 3/4 in of ice, advanced the defrost timer did nothing. I know it has heaters but part time work prevents buying something that I cant use. Is there a defrost t-stat and where is it. I am sort of handy

The heater comes with the thermostat, around $65.00. You have to take off the rear freezer panel to see if you are getting power to the heater when timer is in defrost.
