Re: Ribbon connection from Control Panel to Board. OMG! I even had a professional repairman tell me the ribbon simply pushes in to the connector which, of course, it does not. Until you, I struggled and struggled and struggled. Once I read your instructions, I gently pulled up the plastic connector piece, the ribbon went in easily and I snapped it back down and voila! I knew it had to be easy, but someone just needed to give me that one little direction. I could hug you! Everything is now working perfectly. It would be so great if that instruction would be included with the Control Board and/or control panel. It's not intuitive. I kept wondering if I needed to spread the plastic piece on the board apart but was afraid I'd break it. Never occurred to me to pull it up. It was so easy once I knew that was what needed to happen.
