Just got this error code which apparently means that the oven is sensing temperatures of over 900 degrees - not good. My questions are: (1) what is the likely part that is needed to repair?; (2) what does it cost?, (3) can I do the replacement myself?; (4) what would a repairman likely charge? Thank you.

Don't know how to edit an already posted entry. My wife just told me that when the F2 message comes on the "Cook Time" light blinks. We've never used the Cook Time feature so we've never seen it blink except for now.

Probably a bad oven sensor about $50. Yes you can do it. Unplug range from power. Remove oven racks. Locate sensor(a 3-6 inch by 1/4 inch metal probe).Usually at top of oven cavity, thru the back. Remove screws and pull out. Remove quick disconnect plug. Reverse order to install.
