My oven gets up to temperature but will not hold temp. could that be a control problem or temp sensor problem.

It could be either one. Be sure both the bake and the broil elements are working. If they are working the temperature sensor may be bad. You can check the sensor with an ohmmeter a room temperature it should read 1000 ohms. If the sensor checks ok the main control board is bad. Range Repair Guide
