The issue I am having is the problem of not getting water to pump through the wash arms. The drain pump is ok, and water level is just under the heating element. I have checked the impeller as I have found recomended through out this forum. The impeller is not attached to the pump shaft, motor spins impeller does not, I have pulled the moter and noticed that the impeller shaft appears to have been press fitted over the motor shaft. I looked at the parts list referenced from the parts drawing (GLDB656J) and could not find anything that looked to be an impeller shaft that would run through the drum, blade and rear bracket that would slide over the motor shaft. I reviewed the Frigidaire service manual (linked from here) and found that the pump / impeller assembly is to be replaced as a unit. IS THIS TRUE?(The motor seems fine). If thats the case will there be possibilities of the tub being warped and the unit not fitting back in? Do you think that I'm on the right track or am I all wet? Sorry for the book I wrote. I will appreciate any assistance on this issue. Thank You.

...Do you think that I'm on the right track... Yes, this is true. Yes, there is a small chance for the tub to be warped and it's very hard to see. Yes, you are on the right track. If your decision is to fix it then the dishwasher has to be removed from the cabinet. Here are the break down diagrams and Replacement parts for FRIGIDAIRE GLDB656JT0 | AppliancePartsPros.comGene.
