I have unbolted the motor casing from the pump and have removed the pump but can't get the motor out. The motor part number is 675748A. Here is a link to the picture of the motor and pump assembly: WHIRLPOOL Dishwasher pump and motor assembly. My question is: Do you pull the motor through the inside with the gasket? I can't seem to get it through. Is the gasket supposed to release somehow? Please help if you have any ideas.

You have to unlock the three locking tabs on the bottom of the pump, unscrew the check valve from the pump and push the whole pump & motor assembly up from the under the dishwasher inside.

Thanks for the reply. Do the 3 locking tabs on the bottom of the pump hold the assembly to the diswasher? Should the seal be tight? Mine isn't budging at all. Where do I find the locking tabs?
Thanks

The locking tabs are shown on the diagram as #26. They are holding the pump to the tub. You have to turn them in order to unlock. You have to push the pump & motor assembly up very hard because the pump seal, aka a motor gasket (#16), is stuck to the tub. Gene.
