Hello,

I was helped by a customer service representative and I want to first make sure I have the correct part. I have a Modern Maid Range with the vent in the middle. So there are two places to cook on each side of the vent. Total of Four. Sorry, but I am not very technical. :o

My question is this....please look up model number A126B.

The glass on the right side of the range cracked when a pot fell on it. This piece of glass needs to be replaced. Is that hard to do? How do I do that?

Does it sound like I have the right part listed above? Do I need any other pieces or parts to do this job?

Thanks,
Jonathan Jaffe

Jonathan,

You did not post any part numbers at all. Just the model number for the whole cartridge. Is the color of the glass top black?

If it is, then the correct part number is AP4095139

This part is not too difficult to replace yourself. Remove the cartridge from the stove. Remove all screws around the burner box. Pull up the old glass top. Assemble it in the reversing order.

Gene,

Thanks for replying to my post. I think your guidance will be very helpfu.

Yes, the glass is black. When I got home from work, I measured the piece to try and be exact. It is actually about 10 3/4 by 19 inches. Is the part you indicated above about that size?

Also, what happens if I order the part, but it does not fit? Can I return it?

I am so appreciative of your help.

Thanks,
Jon

Jon,

1. I believe so. If you click on the part number then you'll be able to see the picture.

2. You have to address this question to the customer service.
