Hello!
I've had this washer for about 20 years, and its worked great. It has recently started to leak water, and appears to be leaking from right under the tub (pump and hose connections look dry).
I was planning to replace the transmission. Since a good amount of grease has come out, should I replace the gearcase as well?
Since it is 20 years old, replacing a few parts sounds appropriate. Anything else I should replace while I'm in there? Am I perhaps throwing good money after bad? Would I be better served by just getting a new washer?
Any thoughts?
Thanks a lot!

Pretty much so, get the new one. You will be a little poorer short term, but much happier and a little bit richer in the long run.
