Dryer motor will not go on when switch is pressed

The drum was not turning when the dryer was turned on. It did turn manually however. I went ahead and replaced the belt, the idler/pulley assembly, and the 2 rubber roller supports. The dryer seemed to be back to normal and was running good. Now it has stopped working again. When you press the button will not go on - nothing happens. Is it possible for the motor to be "fried out"?
Thanks.....

This is a gas dryer. Check the door switch for continuity. Make sure the dryer has power. Those dryer motors are preet darn good. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

The switch works- I checked it. When you press the start button, it'll make like a moaning/buzzing sound - it's trying to kick on, but won't. This morning I disconnected the belt from the motor. When you press the switch, the shaft will not spin on the motor. It just makes a moaning/ buzzing sound. I can also smell a slight burning smell - that's why I assumed the motor is going bad.
