I have a 5 year old GE Profile Artica side by side... The rubber flap disk is loose in the throat of the ice maker (door). It appears to have separated from a plastic arm with 3 fingers. How do I get to it to press it together again? Find smaller hands???? Remove the inside of the door? Give up and call service? It appears if you can get to it the rubber flapper would slip back on again. Thanks! Mark

Thanks Gene. I was able to dis assemble and repair the flap. Your directions are accurate and similar to what I did. I would add one more step... To remoeve the electronic control panel, from the bottom, you must insert a small screw driver into the outside 2 holes to release 2 spring clips before gently pullinh out the bottom of the control panel. You are now able to access the 4 screws. Good luck... Mark

Thank you Mark. I'm glad you were able to fix it.
Gene.
