I have a Roper side by side with water in the door. Not sure of the model, but I think all Ropers are the same when it comes to the water filters. I can't figure out how to remove the filter to change it. It's in the grate on the bottom of the unit and has a cap over it. I can't remove the cap or the grate let alone the filter. Any suggestions? I've tried turning the cap and it won't budge.

Thanks!

In order to provide the most accurate advise I need the complete model number of the fridge. You can find it inside the fresh food compartment or (on older models) on the bottom door frame.
