I have a Maytag dryer that gets warm but not hot. I took the front off and watched the operation of the flame. The igniter glows bright, then the flame comes on and shuts off after a few seconds. This cycle repeats every few minutes. I blindly replaced the coils without testing anything since it seemed to be the common answer everywhere on the internet. That didn't solve the problem. I removed the wires from the hi limit thermostat and taped them together. The flame stayed on the whole time that the dryer ran (I only let it run for a minute). It seemed that the culprit would be the hi limit thermostat so I replaced it. Unfortunately, replacing it made no difference. I don't want to keep changing parts hoping to eventually find the right one. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance.

If the flame is orange, you have a venting problem. If ok, replace the flame sensor near the igniter. Part #AP2910747

I found the blower fan has the center worn out of it. I just ordered a new one. I hope that finally solves the problem. I'll update again after I get it installed.
