This is a Performa dryer made by Matag. The timer also doesn't work. I read somewhere that if the dryer don't get hot enough it will not trigger the timer to cycle. It gets warm but takes forever to dry. This has been a slow building problem. In the process of trying to locate the thermal fuse and heating element. Thanks for any help or advice.

Take the front panel off and clean the blower and lint screen compartments. Reassemble, take off the vent hose from the back of the dryer and run the complete cycle with normal load. If that takes care of the problem reconnect the vent an run it again. Make sure the external vent is clean!
