Over the range microwave, when I open the door it sags 1/4 inch. When I close it just as it closes it moves up and is then flush when fully closed.

Is it ok like this?
If it needs to be fixed any suggestions?

Thanks, Glenn

Glenn,

Remove the bottom panel and the top grill and check both door hinges.

Here are the break down diagrams and the parts list for the Maytag microwave Model MMV4184AAB

Gene, thanks for the info and diagram.
1.How will I know which hinge is bad?
2. This looks pretty complicated for a beginner homeowner like me. Will it hurt to leave the door as is?
Thank you for your help and patience! Glenn

Glenn,

It can cause a radiation leakage. It has to be fixed. If you can not do it yourself then hire a pro or replace the microwave.

Thanks, that is what I needed to know. I live in Florida. Any idea how much a repair like this would cost?

It is very hard to predict. The price depends on a parts involved.
