The auger in our icemaker (463409G039) is rusted. I have removed it from he icemaker bin (WR17X4310). I see that I can order the auger separately, but cannot get the Ice crushing assembly off the old auger. I will probably need to order additional parts to complete this job. Can you tell me how to strip the auger?

Ice crusher assembly was tough to remove. Finally dripped single drop of dish washing soap in space along screw. Nut came off very easily. As other posts note: it turns backward.
Also note the position and order of the blades before you remove them. It will make reassembly much easier.
