Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 3/1/2009(UTC) Posts: 2		The auger in our icemaker (463409G039) is rusted. I have removed it from he icemaker bin (WR17X4310). I see that I can order the auger separately, but cannot get the Ice crushing assembly off the old auger. I will probably need to order additional parts to complete this job. Can you tell me how to strip the auger?

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 12/10/2009(UTC) Posts: 1		Ice crusher assembly was tough to remove. Finally dripped single drop of dish washing soap in space along screw. Nut came off very easily. As other posts note: it turns backward. Also note the position and order of the blades before you remove them. It will make reassembly much easier.
