Breaker is fine and dryer has power. Lifted dryer top and checked door switch, No power to switch. Removed back panel to control console, No power to start button. Checked power to timer, OK. Pulled rear dryer panel and checked for volatge at motor. OK. It is obviouse that in order for the motor to work it has to recieve power from the timer to engage the motor? Is roblem at timer?

Here are your parts Model LER4634JQ1Here is a wiring diagram https://www.servicematters.com/d...0Sheet%20-%208528187.pdfBreaker is fine and dryer has power. Did you measure L1 to L2 (240 volts), also L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral (120 volts) Lifted dryer top and checked door switch, No power to switch. Removed back panel to control console, No power to start button. Measuring from where to where Checked power to timer, OK. Is this across the motor ? Again where to where? Timer motor should not have power unless the main motor is running. Pulled rear dryer panel and checked for volatge at motor. OK. Where to where, cannot be OK or the motor would run unless your motor is shot. I t is obviouse that in order for the motor to work it has to recieve power from the timer to engage the motor? Is roblem at timer? Cannot tell from your description, possible but unlikely. A common cause is the thermal fuse in the motor circuit. Item 19 in Section 3 Unplug the machine Pull one wire from the fuse Measure across it Should be 0 ohms If open replace If you do not have a multimeter (ohmmeter) Unplug the machine Short the two wires from the machine together Tape them up so they cannot short to the frame And give it a try If it now runs replace the fuse ASAP as it is a safety device. If it was the fuse give the interior a good cleaning/check including the blower wheel. Also clean/check your vent system |
