This has only lasted less than 3 years. I am a little annoyed but nevertheless need you help to rectify the problem.

Leaking near the center seal...looks like from the outside of the nut so I am guessing the tough job.

Let me know if you see anything different...

What is the best resource for step by step instructions to repair this...? I cannot afford a new washing machine.

Only thing I can suggest is dry it off good, perhaps use a hair dryer on it.
Also make sure the tub is dry.
Run a load and see if perhaps the water is leaking somewhere else , running down the tub till it drips off the center seal.
Cannot see in the pictures.
Above is just to double check. Pulling it apart is going to be a pain so it is best to be absolutely sure of the leak location.
