Last night I started a load of clothes and it filled and started agitating. I was unloading the dryer so I was right there and had the lid opened and I immediately realized I had medium load selected but needed large load. I turned the dial to large and nothing happened. So I put it on oversize and nothing until I turned the dial to reset. (Someone needs to explain the reset button to me. I don't see what it does. It has never served any purpose as far as I can tell.) Anyways the water came on after resetting and turned it back to large load and everything worked fine. I did another load after it no problem.
Tonight I go to turn it on and nothing happens again. I checked every cycle with every load size and every temp...nothing. It doesn't fill up. I did notice that if I turned the dial about 2/3 into the last wash cycle, when it would normally spin and drain to prep for the rinse cycle it would come on and spin, then as soon as the dial got to rinse the knob would do a vibrating ticking type noise.
I waited about 30 minutes and took the laundry out and dumped in about 2 gallons of water and turned the machine on again. It filled and agitated normally. Flipped to the rinse cycle and filled normally. Although it did seem to go through the wash cycle rather fast. But I was busy and that could just be because I didn't really pay that close attention to the time.
I would appreciate any help you could give me. As long as you don't tell me its the water pump because I have replaced that twice and didn't enjoy either time. ;) A 3rd would officially mean that I had put more money into it than I did when I bought it brand new.

Well it is an unusual set of events, and I would try replacing the timer.
