The clutch clip broke and my GE washer will not spin. Son "jimmy rigged"the broken clip, washer now works but makes a noise. I though if a new clip was put on to tighten the clutch up the noise might go away. Or do I need to buy a new clutch also?
Thanks!

You might have a busted strut that made the clutch bottom on the washer base causing the clip to come off. Just remove front panel and check if it is hitting the base when washing.
