I have an Ultimate Care II washer that has the following symtom:
When in the "rinse" position" the machine starts draining BUT i here the motor humming like it wants to spin as well.
I press the off button to stop the sequence and here the brake assembly dis-engage.
I then restart the sequence and the water drains and the motor begins to spin.
It happens in all cycles.
What could be the problem? What would be the solution?

There is NO PROBLEM!!!!! Thats the way it works. They call it a Neutral drain washer!!!! Whirlpool started doing this 25yrs ago. The washer fills,agitates, pauses,drains,pauses,spins,fills,agitates,pauses,drains,pauses,spins:D
