Dryer will tumble but clothes do not dry. Appears to be no air being pulled thru. I took the back panel off as well as the vent hose. Looked up inside and I can barely see the blower fan. When I power on, the fan doesnt turn. For about a week previously, it would dry the clothes but make a grinding sound.

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for MAYTAG MEDB400VQ0 27" ELECTRIC DRYER | AppliancePartsPros.com

Never seen one like this but it looks like the drum runs off one motor pulley and the blower off another.
Perhaps the blower belt has broken.
I would also check the blower as it may have something in it or it may have a mechanical problem.

Now all you have to do is figure out how to open it up.
Perhaps someone else has worked on one of these.
May be the following will have some clues.

yes there are 2 belts ,both working of of motor . are you getting heat? you would have to remove front panel to begin with + see what comes of from there to get drum out, drum belt would have to come off also first, blower housing is under drum

I found the pulley had come completely off the shaft for the blower. The threads were pretty much worn off. I ordereda new one.
