What I did, I presented the evidence to the customer and explained how it's virtually impossible to fix. i agree. customer accepts explanation

Check your schematic, the door switch may send voltage to the optics when the door is closed, might be blown open.AP31087668
This info is probably academic, the last one I worked on seems like lightning hit it as the top door switch was blown, together with the wiring, optics and ice maker!
