The noise is so loud that we leave the house after I put clothes in it!
We cleaned the hoses, vents. It's an old gas dryer. I'm hoping to get a
little more time out of her.

It sounds like the rear rollers or idler pulley. The problem is I can't find your model number. Please recheck it. Could it be LNC87 instead of LNC86?

I just double check, the #'s are LNC8640A87.
We tokk it apart abit put some grease around it.
the sound has quieted some. I would still to find the cause
and fix it properly.

Still can't find the model number. Does your rear rollers look like these?
