The noise is so loud that we leave the house after I put clothes in it! We cleaned the hoses, vents. It's an old gas dryer. I'm hoping to get a little more time out of her.

It sounds like the rear rollers or idler pulley. The problem is I can't find your model number. Please recheck it. Could it be LNC87 instead of LNC86?

I just double check, the #'s are LNC8640A87. We tokk it apart abit put some grease around it. the sound has quieted some. I would still to find the cause and fix it properly.
