Whirlpool Roper Washer does not drain. Will agitate but will not make a sound or do anything when its time to drain or spin. Please help...my wife is more agitated than the machine.:eek:

I would suspect the lid switch. Check to see if you can hear the lid switch clicking when you open and close the lid slowly. If you can't hear the click, its probably bad. If so part number AP3100003.

The Roper has its hoses accessable if you unplug the washer, unscrew the water lines, and tip it over on its side so the part that touches the floor is visible. Socks get trapped in the black hoses that are toward the front of the roper. If you unscrew the hoses and pick around with pliers you can find the sock and screw the black hoses back on.
