Whirlpool Duet, Gas model. The dryer will no longer leave the "sensing" mode even after 15-20 minutes of running. The dryer does not heat.
Ive checked air flow out out the dryer it is good.
I have not taken off the back cover yet. Is this symptom indicative of a bad thermal cut-out or is this another issue?
Thank you.
Jim

Replaced thermistor.. No help..
Dryer still wont move off of sensing position.. Im tracing back to the control board with the diagnostics sheet provided.. Does someone have a board out they could measure resistance across pins 1 and 2 for the sensor?
Per the document:
Otherwise, measure the resistance across between pins 1 and 2 of connector P2 on the machine control board. If a resistance less than 1 MΩ is measured (with analog or digital ohmmeter), inspect the control board for any debris bridging these pins. If no debris, replace the machine control electronics.
Im getting nothing for resistance. Before I make a mistake on a 140$ part I'd like to know for sure if anyone knows. Thanks. Nothing is bridging the pins... Other pin combination's due have resistance..
