not sure how old Lady Kenmore gas range model 911.7388710 is (serial number 7K66353). unplugged the range last night just before a doosy of a thunderstorm. plugged range back into the wall outlet today & had buzzing on & off, & got F3 & F6 fault codes after i turned on oven &/or broiler. oven & broiler gas each came on briefly then stopped. they have not come back on. stovetop burners work fine.

i turned off all power in the house on the circuit breaker panel for a few minutes, & after turning back on, the buzzing stopped for several hours then resumed & displayed F6 fault code until I unplugged it to get some sleep.

read online that it was manufactured by Roper or GE. ************************.com has nothing for F6 under GE ranges; same site shows F6 for Roper ranges could be problem in time keeping circuit & to reset time &/or cooking operation, & check for proper ground. i reset the timer, clock, clean door, cook time, etc. & short time later after resetting each i got F6 code. Not sure how to check for proper ground; it's plugged into a 3 slot grounded receptacle.

************************.com shows F3 on GE or Roper as oven temperature sensor problem. Assume there is a control panel thermal fuse, & how do I get to it? I can pull out the oven temp sensor & test it w/ meter. would it help if the oven temp sensor were cleaned or is it too sensitive to clean?

does this sound like a problem with the control panel (for time, clock, cook, clean, bake, etc) or with the oven temp sensor after unplugging power supply before storm & plugging back in w/ buzzing (buzzing stopped after shut down power on circuit breaker & turned back on) & F3/F6 fault codes (mostly F6 codes now)?
doesn't it seem unlikely that it is problem with oven temperature sensor (F3) & panel that controls the functions (F6) (like clock, timer, etc)? i have seen both fault codes on display since this problem started yesterday.
Is there a better way to reset the control panel than what I have done above? thanks

Had this problem come up with no knowledge on how to fix it. Tried everything, even reseting the breaker to the oven. Nothing worked to reset the display.
I turned off the breaker and went to play golf for about 5 hours, returned to the house, tripped the breaker back on and the oven had mysteriously reset
itself and is now just fine. I guess the computer board had to have enough time to completely drain itself of power and thus was able to reset itself.
If this is a common fix then all is well, just let the oven sit for serveral hours, kill power to the unit, and allow the unit to power down and sit for
a few hours. Go for it.....
