My Kenmore stacked washer/dryer,the washer will only work if the dryer is running. But it will only fill up with water and then it won't wash or do nothing. But I can turn the knob,to the spin cycle it drain the water out. I can't figure it out. Can, someone please help me. Thank you

If you post a model number someone may be able to help you.

In the meantime see if there is a wiring diagram behind the console and if so see if you can trace out the wires and find the problem. I assume that the machine works fine if the dryer is on.
