A falling object cracked off the shaft of the water temperature switch on this nearly-new washer/dryer stack. I know better than to pull on the main timer knob (and the dryer?). How can I safely get the timer knob off so I can remove the front panel and replace the water temp. switch?

Also, is there an "exploded view" of this unit on your site?

Thanks!

Well not having on in front of me, I think on this model the timer knob for the washer has a cover cap on it. Pry the cover cap off and you can get the the prongs that hold the knob on.
