I have a 7 year old Whirlpool gas wall oven, model SB160PEEB5. The oven went out on sick leave on Christmas Day. Wont light or heat. The broiler works fine. It has a hot bar type igniter which was getting nice and hot (bright orange) on Christmas but stopped working when I tried to check the amperage at the connector. Now it doesn't get warm at all. I bought a new igniter which will not get even warm either. I checked the voltage to the igniter which measured 14 volts with the oven on. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be. Thanks, Dave

Hi Dave, Most likely the problem is a bad control board. - The part number for the control board is AP2973415 Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool oven Model SB160PEEB5Gene.

Thanks Gene, I would like to check the control board but so far I haven't figured out how to get into the board. Access to it isn't obvious to me. Dave (dlb)
