Roper wash machine RAX7244jQo agitates great and pumps water out.. will not spin. I washed some bathroom rugs the other day.. could there be lint or other binding the agitator? is that possiable. also what is the easiest way to get the agitator off. Thanks for the advise greatly appreciated ! Ardyne.. P.s. Washer could be over ten years old? is there a date stamp on it somewhere?

Lift the washer up from the front and check if there are white or black shavings on the floor. If there are some then the problem is a bad motor coupling. I do not see why you have to remove the agitator - it has nothing to do with spin. Here are the break down diagrams for the Roper washer Model RAX7244JQ0Gene.
