Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 12/13/2010(UTC) Posts: 4		We had a service tech look at the unit and he said the main bearing is going out. The unit squeaks loudly when spinning. The repair cost was quite large. My question is ...Is this repair something that is fairly easy to do or is better off let in the hands of a pro. I do have mechanical abilites...but not in the appliance relm. Thanks for any info ....I do have 1 other thread on this sight(which is posted for a friend) This one is for my mother.

It is possible to replace just the bearing.
