My garbage disposal and dishwasher are on the same switch at my circuit breaker. Yesterday I replaced the On/Off switch on my kitchen wall where I turn my disposal on and off (the old one was loose). My garbage disposal works fine, but ever since then, my dishwasher won't turn on. The circuit breaker was off for an hour or so while I made the change.
Any ideas how to troubleshoot this, or is this question better for an electrical forum? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Sounds like an electrical problem. You could check the wires at the dishwasher connection/terminal box to see if you have 120 volts.
Also if there were wire nuts in your disposal switch box they may be using it also as a junction box. In other words the power from the circuit breaker box feeds to this box and then to the dishwasher. Open it up again and check the connections. |

Just to add my 2 cents...
Turn the disposal switch "on" and check if the dishwasher works. If it does then there is a wrong connection at the switch.

Thanks all. I wired it incorrectly. I'm back in business.
I'll have to fire my electrician :)
