Does the motor relay (part #AP178791) control the power that runs the drain pump on a Maytag DWMDBD820AWW and would be the likely problem after a power surge/black out?

Here is your parts breakdown includes a wiring diagram Model MDBD820AWWHere is a tech bulletin which may apply http://www.servicematters.com/m...ary/docs/TDD-0011B-B.pdfFirst thing to check: is the motor running during a drain cycle? If yes the check the drain lines for a plug. The no drain after a power surge may just be a coincidence. If the motor does not run check windings on the motor with a meter or check that the drain winding is receiving power during a drain cycle. |
