I've read a few similar posts but mine differs slightly and with that hopefully will result with an easy fix. I have a GE Profile w/ the freezer on the bottom (sans French Doors). A couple weeks ago my fridge started warming up and decreasing the temp proved futile. I spoke to a repairman and he recommended before he came out to do a full defrost, so i unplugged the unit for a day and voila!, the fridge works, but after a week its now starting to warm again.

I noticed today as the fridge started to warm the freezer started to drop in temp. There is no excessive ice build up in the freezer and a fan is running. I do not hear a fan when i open the fridge. If the fan fridge is bad, then why would it work after a full defrost? Any help would be much appreciated.

The ice is probably behind the rear panel in the freezer. The problem could be the defrost thermstat (aka thermosdisc) or the defrost heater or the control board.
