Let me say first, I have no idea how old this oven is. It came with the house.

That being said, I checked on something I was baking yesterday and saw that the bottom element was glowing yellow/white near the middle and was beginning to spark. I turned off the oven and saw that the element was eroded, so I replaced it. When I turned the breaker back on, the oven AND range weren't working. But because the oven light works, I know it's getting power.

I saw online that some ovens have internal breakers and/or fuses. Does this model have those? Or is this another problem?:(

Nami,

It's a different problem,

Your range doesn't have fuses, or internal breakers.

Did you try resetting both breakers several times ?

Sounds like you've lost one of the power legs going to, or in the range.
(most likely L1).

You may also want to check the power supply connections on the terminal block on the back of the range, and the power cord and outlet as well.

Otherwise, we'll need a multi meter, so we can check voltages and switch circuits to see what had failed.

:) :) :)

Thank you sooo much! I did switch on and off the breakers a few times to no avail. The power cord and other wiring looked well connected and in good condition. I'll have to try the power legs.

Nami,

You'll need to slide the unit out and remove the back panel, to access the remainder of the wiring, and look to see if there are any damaged broken wires, as well.
