Oh, yeah,

I forgot to ask the rather rudimentary question of how best to take apart the unit with minimum fuss to access the trouble area (probaly the pump/drain?)

Haz,

Remove the front panel, the drain pump / hose are located on the left side of the cabinet.

Remove the two screws on the bottom of the panel, and lower/remove.

*** Of course, you need to UN PLUG the power cord,or turn off the power to the unit, FIRST. ***
